Adularia

Grossglockner, Austria - 12x6.5x6 cm

A cabinet speciment of alpine Adularia from the Austria's highest and most famous mountain, the Grossglockner. Several, well defined white crystal are scattered on a matrix of schist, rather common for this localities. The group is very aesthetic and exhibits both sharp edges and a delightful, white pearl-like color. The largest crystal measures approximately 3 cm. I purchased this specimen in the 90's at San Candido, at the bourder between Italy and Austria.
