Amethyst

Vera Cruz, Mexico - 5x5.5x4.5 cm

A couple of parallel crystals of Amethyst from Vera Cruz, purchased at the Bologna Mineral Show in 2009. The couple is vertically and very aesthetically perched on a small matrix. The crystals are very brilliant, with a deep violet and perfect, double termination. The highest element measures 2.6 cm and there is a good size-balance with the matrix. A very nice miniature.
