Azurite on Dolomite

Touissit, Morocco - 8x7.5x5 cm

An excellent specimen of Azurite from Morocco. On a rather large plate covered by red-brown elements of dolomite, a perfect, isolated and doubly terminated crystal of Azurite lays down in a very good position. The azurite measures 1.5 cm, is very lustrous and brilliant and, at some point, it even exhibits a visible transparency. Both the faces and the edges are very well defined. A very elegant small cabinet. Acquired at the Bologna Mineral Show in 2009.
