Benitoite con Neptunite

San Benito County, California - 4x4x3 cm

An excellent specimen of Benitoite, constituted by an isolated crystal up to 1.3 cm and associated to elements of Neptunite. The crystal has a gem nature and is totally pristine, in spite of a natural corroded edge at the left-bottom side. The vertical position on the matrix is excellent and the small Neptunite element crossing the left edge of the main crystal provides the specimen with a notable aesthetic impact. For a long time I was looking for a fine Benitoite specimen on the market, but the crazy quotations of this rare mineral (just available at the Benitoite Gem Mine, in California) has always thwarted its inclusion in the collection. Acquired by the Erocks website, in 2010.
