Beryl

Erongo, Namibia - 11.5x10.5x8 cm

This cabinet was the first specimen from Erongo to enter the collection. It consists of a large microcline-based plate, with several crystals of Beryl, quite transparent and with a rather deep blue color. The main element is doubly terminated and measures 4.3 cm. Very fine the chromatic contrast and the overall verticall position of all crystals. I shopped it at the Bologna Mineral Show in 2005, by a well-known italian dealer and collector (Corrado Vietti).
