In spite of the presence of other fine butterfly twin calcites in the collection, this large cabinet is simply recognized as "the" butterfly! The cross-sectional size of these gorgeous twins is 5.5 cm and behind them a stunning, vertically placed crystal of 6 cm further enriches this museum quality specimen. The edges are incredibly sharp and all crystals are very bright and clear. It is well known that butterfly twins are greatly appreciated and sought-after by collectors, but these size and quality are really rare and uncommon on the market. This cabinet was shopped at R&T Minerals in 2000. A Calcite worthy of a top collection!
