Calcite

Elmwood, Tennessee - 11x8x5 cm

A further specimen of Calcite from Elmwood, with the typical, twinned shape. The isolated crystal measures 9 cm and has perfect terminations, even though the brightness is rather limited and the usual amber, golden color at the tips is just noted. The Calcite leans on a thin plate of rocks in a aerial position and, at one tip, exhibits a smaller crystal. As a whole, a fine example of this classic specimen from Tennessee.
