Calcite

Silius, Cagliari - 3.5x5x6 cm

This very nice miniature is formed by small, translucent Calcite foils, which give rise to a sort of little "tree" on a pale-red matrix. The incredible snow-white color and the particular shape of the crystals make this specimen very aesthetic. The group is approximately 6 cm tall and really I was not able to see any damage across the different crystals. Really a top quality miniature! I purchased this Calcite at a Wendel Mineral auction in 2008.
