Calcite

Shimen (Hunan), China - 10x8.5x2.5 cm

A translucent, pearl-like foil of Calcite to approximately 10 cm, very well placed om a small matrix. This chinese specimen looks like a glass leaf and in spite of its evident fragility, is totally pristine along all the thin edge. Rather interesting and unusual. It was shopped at Corrado Vietti at a Mineral Show in Rome in 2005.
