Calcite

Turtoas (Satu Mare), Romania - 6x5.5x4.5 cm

A stunning "flower" of Calcite (4 cm large and 2.5 cm tall) is very well placed on a matrix of siderite. As it is clearly shown in the pictures, the specimen is constituted by a group of superimposed layers, of a soft, pearl-like white color. No damage on this enchanting miniature. Acquired at a Mineral Show in Turin at the end of the 90's.
