Calcite and Quartz

Piz Beverin (Grisson), Switzerland - 9.5x6x5.5 cm

A nice example of Calcite from Alps, associated to very clear and bright quartz. The calcite is rather large (3 cm). It exhibits a rhombus shape, with perfect, rounded edges and a translucent aspect. Not easy to find on the market such alpine, pristine specimens of Calcite. This cabinet was purchased on the Web, by Wendel Minerals in 2009.
