Calcite on Quartz

Another small (but effective) representative of Calcite from India. A rather deep yellow rhombus of 1.8 cm is very-well placed on a quartz based matrix. The vertical position and the chromatic contrast with the matrix provide this specimen with a nice aesthetics. Sharp and free of damage edges. This miniature was shopped at the Bologna Mineral Show in 2006, directly from an Indian dealer.
