Diopside with Vesuvianite

Val d'Ala, Torino - 6x4x4 cm

A stunning, lustrous bi-terminated Diopside from the Italian Alps, well positioned on a mica-based matrix including a fine crystal of dark brown vesuvianite. The crystal has a very pale green color, and a very fine shape with a great termination. Very hard to find such a quality on the market, nowadays. I shopped this excellent miniature at an Italian dealer in th 80's.
