Epidote

Skardu, Pakistan - 4x4.5x4 cm

A stunning, vertically placed and transparent crystal of Epidoto from Skardu. The whole "laminated" matrix is rich of epidoto and the main crystal (1.3 cm tall) is coupled with a further, thinner element. No damage. The light easily comes across the rather thick (2 mm) crystal and highlights the wonderful green tonality of this specimen. I found this very fine miniature on e-bay in 2007 (although I had to reduce the matrix to play the crystal up).
