Pyrite on Hematite

Rio Marina, Elba - 6.5x4.5x5 cm

A wonderful isolated crystal of lustrous Pyrite from the Elba Island. This large (5 cm), multi-faced crystal is perfectly placed on a small matrix of dark sparkling hematite and is absolutely free of any damage. All the several faces are bright and very well defined, with sharp edges. Not easy to find such a high quality, nowadays. I shopped this excellent miniature just at Elba by a local dealer, in 1999.
