Argentiere (Mt. Bianco), Aosta - 10.5x8x4.5 cm

A stunning, smoky quartz on a little matrix, coming from the highest mountains of Europe. The main crystal is 8.5 cm tall and totally pristine (except for a micro edgewear at the top, but you really need a lens to note it). The brightness and transparency are worthy of the alpine top quality, as well as the very deep color. In general, this kind of quartz is much-sought, high-priced and very hard to find on the market. It was acquired by R&T Minerals in 2004.
