"La Facciata" quarry, Carrara - 11x8x6 cm

A stunning and isolated crystal of Quartz, vertically placed in a vug of a marble-based matrix. The quartz measures approximately 2.5 cm, is absolutely free-damage, very clear and bright. The transparency is incredible, even though the rather hidden position within the vug does not allow to highlight it in a proper way. The matrix has been partially sawed, as usual in these aesthetic specimens coming from the marble quarries near Carrara. Very fine.
