Quartz with Chlorite

Zillertal (Tirolo), Austria - 6.5x5x2.5 cm

I acquired this miniature in 2009 at an auction of Wendel Minerals. It consists of a simple couple of quartz crystals with the typical abitus of the specimens coming from Alps. The crystals are rather small (the tallest is 4.5 cm) and one of them has a (hardly visible, indeed) edgewear on the top. You could say:"Well: nothing special..."! But look at the pictures! These two transparent "twin towers" exhibit a wonderlul shape and a delightful clearness. No comments on their astonishing, mutual position on the matrix. As a whole, I consider this specimen really a top quality miniature.
