"Crastu Muraddu" quarry, Osilo - 4x3x3 cm

In my opinion, this small miniature is a significant representative of both the perfection and the appeal of the minerals world. On a red-brown matrix (probably including elements of laumontite), a withish and opaque column holds up a brilliant and very transparent quartz crystal. The overall asthetics of this sceptre is astonishing! The natural, aerial position allows the light to cross over the crystal from any position and highlight the purity and the brilliance on this small nature's masterpiece. I obtained this jewel as a gift from my friend Beniamino Pasta, in 2008.
