Quartz

Rio Bianco, Bolzano - 7x4.5x2.5 cm

This group of quartz crystals defines rather well the attractiveness that alpine minerals can exhert on a mineral collector. There is just a hint of violet color, the height is rather limited (2.3 cm) and a good transparency is noted at the top of the group. Nevertheless, the overall shape is stunning and the group literally "dominates" the matrix, just as a high peak on a valley! Moreover, these kind of pale-amethyst sceptres are extremely rare and their selling rates are surpringsly high! I acquired it by Josef Kirchler, in the 90's.
