Schorlite on Albite

Skardu, Pakistan - 13x10x5 cm

On a large plate of white and clear albite, enriched by notable mica crystals, a gorgeous and shiny schorlite (2.3 cm) erects vertically. The chromatic contrast between the black tourmaline and the white matrix provides this cabinet with an astonishing aesthetic impact. The schorlite is simply brilliant, with very well defined edges and a perfect termination. Really an excellent collectible specimen from this very prolific region of Pakistan.
