Titanite with Albite and Clorite

Among the many sphenes within the collection, this is probably my own favourite. A stunning, 1 cm tall, polychrome titanite is placed on a large carpet of albite and clorite. The transparency is very high, both in the thickset, green bottom-central part of the crystal and in the perfect brown termination. Very aesthetic the contrast between the multicoloured crystal and the white matrix. No damage at all. A exquisite example of the brightness and majesty of the Alpine minerals from the heart of Europe.
