Spessartine on Mica

Skardu, Pakistan - 5.5x4x3 cm

A gorgeous specimen of spessartina fron Skardu, characterized by a ruby red crystal and measuring approximately 1.2 cm. Very deep color and transparency. The garnet exhibits very sharp, well defined edges and a notable contrast compared to the clear mica and the white quartz of the matrix. No damage on this stunning miniature. Purchased at the Mineral Show of Bologna, in the late '80s.
