Spessartine and Mica

The quality of this Chinese spessartine specimen, including a wonderful crystal of approximately 1.6 cm, is really something out of the common. The red color is incredibly deep and brilliant, while the geometry is so perfect as to be referenced in a christallography manual! The matrix is quartz-based and also includes another notable crystal of 0.6 cm and a fine element of mica. An astonishing jewel. Acquired by R&T Minerals in 2001.
