Titanite with Calcite

Skardu, Pakistan - 6.5x5x3 cm

A rather thin and isolated titanite is vertically placed on a matrix of white and translucent calcite elements. The crystal is 1.4 cm tall, has a very bright green color and an excellent transparency, highlighted by the very nice position on the matrix. This specimen is really photogenic: the light easily comes across the sphene and makes very simple to take very fine pictures! I shopped this incredibly aesthetic miniature at the Roma Mineral Show by Corrado Vietti, at the end of the 90's.
