Topaz

Guanajato, Mexico - 7x4x4.5 cm

An excellent specimen of mexican red Topaz. Most of the crystals are opaque, but the group also exhibits some partially transparent element. I was not able to find any damage on any of the several crystals, in spite of the extreme fragility of this material. I shopped this very fine and large miniature by an Italian dealer, here in Rome, in the 90's.
