Tourmaline

Kanar, Afghanistan - 8.5x6x4 cm

A very fine, isolated tourmaline crystal measuring 2.3 cm on a pale red-brown matrix. Substantially, the tourmaline is colorless, except for a very pale inner green/blue tonality and some intriguing purple strips affecting the edges of the perfect termination. The good transparency and an excellent vertical position characterize this nice and representative small cabinet, purchased at the Bologna Mineral Show in 2000.
