Tourmaline

Paprock, Afghanistan - 9x5x4.5 cm

This is a very fine and representative specimen of pink Tourmaline from the well known locality of Paprock, Afghanistan. The isolated, transparent crystal has a quite pale color, but an excellent shape and vertical position on the matrix. It measures 2.5 cm. A hardly visible edgewear at the top does not detract the impact and attractiveness of the specimen. I purchased it at the Bologna Mineral Show in 2006.
